Caishen is started by Luuk who has over 9+ years of experience working with startups and fast growing companies.

He began his journey at Startupbootcamp HighTechXL where he first came in contact with the startup environment. Learning and observing what obstacles startups face and how they overcame them is what made him further gain interest is this.

It made Luuk join the fast growing startup WeWork where he began in Amsterdam setting up their European operations. Managing the building and the members on the day to day operations to drive the financial results.

After Amsterdam he moved to Berlin, where he became part of the expansion & community team to open a new location and start building a business from scratch. By working in a new environment and different culture he learned how to handle challenging situations and keep focus on what matters and how to execute on this

This learning curve allowed him to grow within WeWork and relocated to China, where he started the hyperspeed growth in multiple cities across the country. This is where he opened 5 new cities and oversaw 20+ buildings from various aspects, from community to driving financial results. During this period he experienced:

• the merge and acquisition of a new company with WeWork and was responsible for the integration of this new team with the current one

• The split from WeWork Global to WeWork China and transform into an independent running operation

• Manage a team of +100 colleagues

• Oversee financial operations of 20+ locations with a multi million dollar annual revenue

• Work cross functionally and cross culturally with different departments and team members to succeed
